Manas Wildlife Sanctuary is a World Heritage site, a Project Tiger reserve, an Elephant Reserve and a Biosphere Reserve in Assam. Located in the Himalayan foothills, it extends to Bhutan. The park is well known for its wildlife like the smooth Indian otter, Gangetic dolphin, Hispid hare, Sloth bear and Pygmy hog apart from the clouded leopard, panther and the Asiatic elephant.
