HIMALI SINGH SOIN
‘Himali’ means ‘Princess of the Snow’ and while she returns to the mountains whenever she can, she feels deeply connected to seahorses, who turn orange when they fall in love or die of loneliness. She makes performance art inspired by her travels: she evokes a sense of planetariness and extinction using metaphors of the dark mystery of deep outer space. Her poems and art writing have been published worldwide.
In 2017 she visited the Antarctic on a cruise and Arctic on a sailboat for an Artist’s Residency.
