when he was 14. Then after University, he took a year
off. "That was it", says Singh, 44. "I
travelled all the time and knew that I could not have
a job - however important - that involved sitting in an
office all day pushing files. "

FOR TOMORROW AWARDS
Ibex Founder invited judge since 1998 for British Airways
Tourism for Tomorrow Awards
Mandip Singh Soin, Managing Director of Ibex Expeditions
has been invited as a judge for the BA Tourism for Tomorrow
Awards since 1998. These awards are designed to encourage
the travel and tourism industry to recognise the importance
of the environment and to ensure a proper balance between
tourist demand and the need to protect the environment.

MD Co-Chairman of `Himalayan Environment at the
World Wilderness Congress - The 6th World Wilderness
Congress held the first time in Asia was in Bangalore
from 24-29 October 1998. The session on the Himalayan
Environment was co chaired by Mandip and Robert Pettigrew
of the UK.

Ibex organised the journey of British entertainer and
TV personality, Mike Harding through the kingdoms of Zanskar
and Ladakh and captured his impressions in this book.

assists German TV and US crew with films on India
An hour-long film covering diverse aspects of Rajasthan
was aired on German, Austrian and Swiss television. A
US crew covered the entire country for a film on India.
Ibex designed the travel arrangements, logistics, interviews
and concepts of the film.
